Lana Wedmore is a Certified Reiki Master and Shamanic healer, Certified Yoga Instructor and Certified Forest Therapy Guide, conservationist, and women’s empowerment advocate whose compassion, dedication, and determination have all earned her the reputation as a service-centered thought leader. As a transformation-driven humanitarian, her lifelong vision is to empower people to heal not only themselves, but our home and all of her beautiful inhabitants.
Nearly four decades ago, Lana left her Colorado home to study in Costa Rica. She traveled the world and still felt an unwavering pull to Costa Rica’s Osa Peninsula.
Ultimately, the unparalleled beauty of the wildlife and landscapes combined inspired her to establish Luna Lodge in 2000, which is an innovative rainforest wellness eco-lodge that attained the highest sustainability ranking. Her deep-rooted devotion for the country also drives her to give back in other profound ways, including being active in her community. For 10 years, she served as the President of the Association for Integral Development of Corcovado. Her strategic heart-centered leadership was paramount in the development of the first sustainable solar-powered bamboo school in the Osa Peninsula. She also served as the Vice President of the Wellness Costa Rica Association.
Throughout the span of several years, Lana was also the President of the Chamber of Tourism of Corcovado, where she assisted in uniting the different communities to advocate for sustainable tourism. Continuing her conservation legacy, she founded The White Hawk Foundation back in 2008, in the name of protecting the sacred land surrounding Corcovado National Park.
However, Lana Wedmore’s conservation efforts don’t stop there. Presently, she is facilitating empowerment retreats at Luna Lodge, speaking at prominent wellness and conservation events, and fundraising for and facilitating White Hawk Foundation conservation initiatives. Most recently, she authored two books. She co-authored her memoir with Lesley S. King, “Married to Paradise” which is available to purchase now. And she co-authored a yoga book with Michelle Booth and Amed Bermudez, “Yoga for Connecting Your Mind, Body and Soul”, also available for purchase.
